Planning a Special Event? Make Sure You Rent Equipment from a Reputable Store

If you are having a banquet, special birthday, anniversary party or other large function, then you will usually have to deal with three main types of supplier: the venue, the caterer and the equipment supplier.

The venue may supply some basic equipment and the caterers will usually have their own cooking and serving equipment. However, you will probably have to rent additional items.

Most people put a lot of effort into choosing their venue, caterers and menu. Make sure you put as much effort into choosing an equipment supplier that will do your event justice.

Some factors to consider when deciding who to rent equipment from:

  • Range. Do they have a wide selection of well-maintained and clean equipment? Are there backup plans in place in case a piece of equipment fails or more equipment is needed at short notice?
  • Experience. How long has the company been in existence? Is it run by somebody who has been in the industry for a number of years?
  • Expertise. Do the staff members have in-depth knowledge of event planning and requirements, so that that they can advise and assist you rather than simply trying to make a sale?
  • Commitment to customer service. Find out about the experiences of others when dealing with the rental company. Don’t be afraid to ask for testimonials and references.
