Repaint the Rooms in Your Home the Easy Way When You Rent a Paint Gun

Have the marks that the kids made on the walls when they were running around inside started to annoy you? Are your walls starting to look a bit dull, or slightly dirty? Has it been a long time since you last repainted the walls in your home? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’ve probably known for a while that the walls in your home are due for a new coat. If you’ve been putting it off because you think the job might be too time consuming, or because you feel that you should get it professionally done but can’t really afford it, it’s worth thinking about an equipment rental option.

A paint gun will allow you to cover those hard-to-paint corners, will allow you to complete the job relatively quickly and inexpensively, and will give you an even, no-streak, professional-looking job. Here are a few tips on preparing the room for the job:

  1. Covering the floor: Make sure that the floor of the room you’re painting is thoroughly covered. You could use a drop sheet or newspapers. The advantage of a paint gun, of course, is that the chances of paint spilling or dripping on the floor are much lower. Overall, the job will be much tidier. However, it’s always better to be safe than sorry!
  2. Cover any areas you don’t want painted. Use masking tape to cover the edges of doorframes, light switches, windows, etc. Though using a paint gun will allow for a much easier, smoother job overall, it is less precise when it comes to navigating around such obstacles. However, this issue is easily solved with just a little preparation.
